Evelyn Quartz

Evelyn Quartz is a writer and former political communications staffer. She served as Communications Director in the U.S. House of Representatives and as Press Secretary for The Lincoln Project. She now reports from communities across the American West, exploring the distance between political life and everyday experience. Her work has appeared in Jacobin, Compact Magazine, The Lever, Courier, and on her Substack. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College and lives in Oregon. She is working on her first book.
