Robyn Faith Walsh
Robyn Faith Walsh studies the origins of Christian literature and the material world that shaped it. An Associate Professor at the University of Miami, she earned her Ph.D. at Brown University after earlier studies at Harvard and Wheaton College.
She is the author of The Origins of Early Christian Literature (Cambridge University Press) and is currently working on two new books: Jesus in Berlin: Romanticism’s Legacy and the New Testament and Popularizing Jesus: The Gospels as Roman Literature. Her work has been featured in Slate, The Daily Beast, and The New Yorker, as well as leading academic journals.
When she’s not writing or teaching, Robyn can be found wandering archaeological sites in Rome with her students, thinking about how ancient texts—and the myths we tell about them—continue to shape modern culture.
